What Is MailChimp and Why Is It Important?

As I mentioned in my previous article, this month I have been teaching myself how to use popular software that will prove useful to future business partners. One of the first ones I focused on was MailChimp. MailChimp is an email marketing platform that is used by millions of people. The New York Times, Twitter, and Billabong are some of their major customers.

You can use MailChimp to send weekly newsletters and automated emails that welcome customers, follow up on purchases, and conduct surveys. Create and send multiple email campaigns, then let MailChimp find out which ones worked best for you.

MailChimp also has a service, their A/B Testing, which gives you all the information and feedback you need to help you improve your emailing game. The A/B Testing can tell you which day of the week your customers open most of your emails, which subject line and content is most successful, if there is a specific time of the day that your users are most active, and tons of other information that can be very useful when building up a company.

There are dozens of ways you can improve customer relations through MailChimp. Customize emails with dozens of high-end templates, use their state-of-the-art mobile app to write drafts, or create your own landing page through MailChimp.

MailChimp will help you make sure every email is stylish and informative, down to the T. Reward your new subscribers with a gift, present your best selling products, or inform your subscribers of a limited time promotion. You can even sync all your data from other platforms like Twitter and Facebook so that you can track the information coming to those sites, as well as through your email campaigns.

Create anything from landing pages, email templates, Instagram or Facebook ad campaigns, and multi-user accounts. Then watch as MailChimp gathers all the data and statistics to the content you put out.

They even set up profiles of your subscribers so you can keep tabs on them from any device. The subscriber profiles tell you everything from where they are in the world to whether or not they’re using their mobile device to view your emails. Did I mention they even set up profiles for VIP subscribers?

Whether your business is just getting started or large but looking for a way to boost customer relations and keep track of your business, MailChimp is the key to success.
